2026 Immigration Law Conference

The Law Council of Australia’s Migration Law Committee, part of the Federal Dispute Resolution Section, invites you to Brisbane for the 2026 Immigration Law Conference – a premier gathering for legal professionals,

policymakers, decision-makers and stakeholders in the immigration sector.

Scheduled for 18–20 March 2026, the conference will cover the latest developments in immigration law and policy, with distinguished speakers and expert panels discussing topics like bridging visas and changes to the Ministerial Intervention process, employer-sponsored visas, skilled and student visa updates, the latest updates in relation to refugee and protection visas, wellbeing for legal professionals, advocacy sessions, the development of AI in migration law, and updates from the Department of Home Affairs, Administrative Review Tribunal, the Federal Court of Australia and Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2). 

Attendees will have the chance to expand their knowledge, connect with industry leaders, and engage in meaningful dialogue about the future of immigration law.

Additionally, join us for welcome drinks on the evening of Wednesday, 18 March 2026, for an informal networking opportunity with fellow delegates.
